Is your child struggling to go to school? You’re not alone.
Maybe mornings have turned into a battleground. Perhaps your child is anxious, overwhelmed, or completely shutting down when it’s time to leave the house. Maybe school’s been calling non-stop, or worse—threatening fines and legal action.
It’s exhausting. It’s confusing. And it’s heartbreaking.
If you’re feeling lost, stuck, or just desperate for answers, this session is for you.
I learnt so much and the most valuable thing I gained was confidence and a bit more fight in me! It is also easier to learn from a live event (or replay) listening to people talk, than reading information online or in books.
Join us this February for a practical, supportive session designed specifically for parents and carers dealing with school attendance struggles. No judgment. No pressure. Just real talk, practical advice, and a whole lot of understanding from people who get it.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to learn directly from a Sunday Times Bestselling author and EHCP expert!
Heidi will cover:
✅ Why school refusal happens – Understanding the reasons behind it (and why it’s not your fault)
✅ How to work with (or around) the school – Getting the right support without feeling dismissed
✅ Your legal rights – What attendance records really mean and how to respond to fines and prosecution threats
✅ Alternative education options – What to do when school isn’t working (EOTAS, flexi-schooling, home ed, and more)
✅ What to say, when – How to communicate with schools, local authorities, and professionals effectively
✅ Practical next steps – What you can do right now to support your child and reduce stress at home
Why Come Along?
Get clear, no-BS advice from people who’ve been in your shoes.
Learn about your options so you can make the best choice for your child.
Connect with other parents who actually understand what you’re going through.
Take home a practical guide to help you after the session.
Feel more confident dealing with schools, local authorities, and professionals.
This is tough, but you don’t have to do it alone. Let’s figure it out together.

Heidi loves giraffes and will delight you with "giraf-facts" given the opportunity. Her small pleasures are listening to Dolly Parton's music, Yorkshire Tea and her leopard print sofa, which cost more than her car. She wishes all dresses had pockets.
It was really informative in a really easy to understand format which Heidi is amazing at delivering. I've been on this journey for many years and it has finally helped me to see things much clearer. It was also very manageable because of the length and not too overwhelming.
