A little bit about your
trainers:
Heidi Mavir (SHE/HER) is an AuDHD public speaker, advocate, author and parent to an autisic/adhd teenager. She is also a chronic oversharer and a bit of a bad ass.
A trained Mental Health First Aider and CPD Accredited Trauma-Informed Professional, Heidi uses her knowledge, learning and experience to help other parents and carers to become powerful advocates for their neurodivergent kids. She has built an online community of over 5000 families, supported by parent professionals and SEN advocates who want to improve opportunities for neurodivergent learners.
Heidi has spoken on stages across the UK, and has been featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian and on BBC National News.
Heidi loves giraffes and will delight you with "giraf-facts" given the opportunity. Her guilty pleasures are posh gin, Yorkshire Tea and her leopard print sofa, which cost more than her car. She wishes all dresses had pockets.
Kate Jones (she/her) Autistic Psychotherapist and CCP @NeuroClastic. c
For the last two decades, Kate has worked both in private practice and for third-sector organisations supporting people through challenging times and significant traumatic experiences. Kate's core training is in transactional analysis but she takes a relational, trauma and PDA-informed approach to her practice, which is neurodiverse and gender affirmative. Kate is trained and experienced in suicide prevention and crisis intervention.
Kate's activism for NeuroClastic and work with the Transactional Analysis Neurodoversity Network involves presenting at conferences and education establishments in the UK and internationally on the subjects relating to Autism. Most recently she has guest lectured for Liverpool John Moores, Penn State (US), Rutgers (US) and New Jersey Autism Centre of Excellence.
Neurocurious participants will:
Have access to over 30 hours of live training from Heidi, Kate and hand=picked guest experts from both sides of the Atlantic.
Be invited to conversations and reflections about neurodovergence and neurodovergent culture.
Gained the knowledge they need to advocate more confidently for their family.
Be part of a community where we celebrate diversity and connect through shared experiences.
Be "tooled up" to step out with confidence as their fabulous authentic selves.
Get a certificate (which apparently is a BIG selling point) and likely make some friends along the way too!
